PROVO, Utah—In Thursday's game against Houston BYU football will honor Patriot’s Day with pregame ceremonies to remember the victims of the events of 9/11.

Both teams will wear patriotic decals on their helmets. The first 15,000 fans to enter the stadium will receive miniature American flags.

Westward the Tide, a local Provo band, will perform the National Anthem, with both teams participating in holding a 100-yard flag over the field.

Throughout pregame and during the early timeouts there will be numerous military tributes. Both teams will also honor the victims with their own tributes before the game.

Join the team prior to the game for the Cougar Walk, which begins at 4:30 p.m. MDT at the northeast end of the stadium.

Kate Hansen, a BYU student who competed in the luge in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, will be the Y Lighter for the game.

ESPN has installed its SkyCam for the game. Fans can watch the feed on ESPN3.
