Several opportunities to get your football fix starting this weekend
BYU begins fall camp practices this weekend in preparation for its season opener at the University of Connecticut as the 2014 college football season is fast approaching.
The team’s second practice this Saturday, Aug. 2, will be open to the public. The practice will take place on the outdoor practice field located north of the Student Athlete Building. Fans can park in the parking lot to the west of the practice field and enter through the west gate to the practice field beginning at 10 a.m. The practice will begin at 10:40 a.m. and conclude at approximately 12 p.m.
The team will also conduct a scrimmage open to the public on Friday night, Aug. 15, at LaVell Edwards Stadium. Gates open at 5 p.m. with the scrimmage getting underway at 6 p.m.
BYU will also host a football movie night in LaVell Edwards Stadium this Friday, Aug. 1. The stadium’s west gates (1 and 5) open at 8:15 p.m. with the movie “Remember the Titans” starting at 9 p.m. Parking will be available in the parking lot west of the stadium.
