BYU announces football games with Northern Illinois and Idaho State
PROVO, Utah (July 30, 2014) — Brigham Young University director of athletics Tom Holmoe today announced future football games versus Northern Illinois and Idaho State.
BYU and Northern Illinois will meet at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on Oct. 27, 2018, with the second game being played at Huskie Stadium in Dekalb, Illinois, on Oct. 24, 2020. The 2018 contest will be the first meeting between the Cougars and the Huskies of the Mid-American Conference. NIU has won at least 11 games in each of the past four seasons while compiling a 46-10 record and capturing four-straight MAC West titles.
The Cougars will face the Bengals of Idaho State at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah, on Oct. 24, 2015. BYU and Idaho State have met five previous times in football, the first being in Pocatello, Idaho, on Nov. 4, 1932, and the most recent contest in Provo on Nov. 16, 2013. BYU owns a 5-0 record in the series.
