PROVO, Utah -- BYU football faces Washington in the Fight Hunger Bowl Dec. 27 at 6:30 p.m. PST at AT&T Park in San Francisco. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN with kickoff slated for 6:35 p.m. PST.

The Countdown to Kickoff pregame show will begin at 5:30 p.m. PST on BYUtv and BYUtvsports.com. Fans can also tune in to BYUtv and BYUtvsports.com for the live postgame show at the conclusion of the game. Radio coverage will begin at 4:40 p.m. PST on the Cougar IMG Sports Network 1160 AM/102.7 FM and BYU Radio (SiriusXM channel 143).

Series Notes

The 2013 Fight Hunger Bowl is BYU’s ninth straight bowl appearance. The Cougars are 6-2 in bowl games under Bronco Mendenhall and currently on a four-game win streak. BYU is 13-17-1 in bowl games.

BYU is 4-4 against Washington. The last time the Cougars and the Huskies met was in the season opener in 2010, when BYU defeated the Huskies 23-17 in Provo.

BYU is 70-120-6 against Pac-12 opponents. BYU’s last win against a Pac-12 opponent was Washington State, which the Cougars defeated 30-6 in Provo on Aug. 30, 2012.

Team Notes

BYU ranks No. 10 in the nation in rushing offense with 274.6 yards per game earned on the ground. 

BYU is also No. 14 in total offense with 495.3 yards per game. 

Cody Hoffman holds the BYU all-time records for career receiving yards with 3,445, receptions with 248 and touchdown receptions with 33. He needs one more 100-yard receiving game to pass Austin Collie and and 146 more all-purpose yards to pass Curtis Brown to hold the BYU all-time records in those categories.

Van Noy is No. 4 nationally among active players in career sacks (26). He is also No. 3 in career solo tackles for loss (57), No. 5 in career tackles for loss yards (306), No. 3 in career forced fumbles (11), No. 4 in career solo sacks (25) and No. 3 in career sack yards (192).

1,000 yards. Sophomore quarterback Taysom Hill has 1,211 rushing yards and 2,645 passing yards this season, the first BYU player and 23rd in the NCAA to have 1,000 rushing yards and 2,000 passing yards in a season. Sophomore running back Jamaal Williams has 1,202 rush yards. It’s the first time in BYU history two players have rushed for 1,000 in the same season.
