BYU wins Hyundai Lens of Loyalty film contest
BYU won $10,000 for the Hyundai Lens of Loyalty film contest to determine the nation’s most loyal fans.
Hyundai first contacted 25 university film programs to submit a one-page treatment for a film that would offer a glimpse into the traditions and passion of their fan base. From those treatments seven schools were selected and awarded with $10,000 to create the film. BYU won the additional $10,000 over finalists Alabama, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Oregon and Pittsburgh.
The video shows the BYU fans rising up worldwide in places like London, Saudia Arabia, Asia and Africa. With its prize money BYU flew some of the most loyal fans shown in the video out to Provo to watch a game.
