PROVO, Utah – Brigham Young University and Utah State University today announced the schools have reworked their current football contract, changing some dates, venues and adding an additional game to the series.

Under the new agreement, the Cougars will play at Utah State on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 and Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, while the Aggies will play at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 and Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016.

"I appreciate the working relationship I have with Scott Barnes at Utah State," said BYU director of athletics Tom Holmoe. "We needed to make some adjustments to our 2014 and 2015 football schedules and in the process were able to add an additional game to the series. Scott has done an outstanding job at USU and is great to work with. We value the longstanding in-state rivalry and look forward to the next four games with Utah State."

The Cougars and Aggies will meet this fall at Romney Stadium on October 4 in the 83rd meeting between the two schools.

BYU's first-ever intercollegiate football game was played against Utah State on Oct. 7, 1922. The Aggies won the inaugural game 41-3 in Logan, while the Cougars won the last meeting 6-3 on Oct. 12, 2012 in Provo. Only the University of Utah has played more games (88) against BYU than Utah State. The Cougars lead the overall series with the Aggies 45-34-3.
