PROVO, Utah - After spending time indoors last week the BYU football team practiced outside again to kick off the fourth week of spring football.

In the skelly drills of practice (7-on-7), defensive back Blake Morgan intercepted Ammon Olsen on the first play from scrimmage but the offense came back with quarterback Christian Stewart tossing a 40-yard bomb to wide receiver Ross Apo for a touchdown on the next series. Olsen connected with receiver Brett Thompson for a 20-yard gain later in team series.

Receiver Marcus Mathews made a nice adjustment coming back to a 35-yard pass from quarterback Taysom Hill for a big gain. Hill and Mathews found eachother again for a 10-yard touchdown a few plays later.

At the end of 7-on-7, linebacker Uani 'Unga made a one-handed interception in the end zone to save a touchdown. The defense also made plays in 11-on-11 with defensive back Daniel Sorensen intercepting Hill's deep pass while defensive lineman Marques Johnson and linebacker Alani Fua recorded sacks.

Hill posted the only touchdown of the team session, a 25-yard strike over the middle to wideout Mitch Mathews.

BYU will practice again Wednesday before playing the Blue/White Spring Game on Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium. Saturday's Blue/White game will begin at 11 a.m. and is free to the public.
