BYU announces 2013 football season ticket information and plans for a consolidated student section

PROVO, Utah (Feb. 20, 2013) — BYU Athletics today announced ticket information for the 2013 football season, including a variety of new public seating locations and plans for a consolidated student section at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Season tickets go on sale March 27 utilizing the same fan-friendly online ticketing system implemented in the Marriott Center for basketball. The Cougars’ 2013 home football schedule features games against Texas (Sept. 7), Utah (Sept. 21), Middle Tennessee State (Sept. 27), Georgia Tech (Oct. 12), Boise State (Oct. 26) and Idaho State (Nov. 16).

Seat Selection Process
Cougar fans will be have the opportunity to view seat locations and select ticket packages online in a real-time 3D environment developed by Ballena Technologies. Using the online ticket system, fans can preview individual seat availability and make selections during specific time windows determined by a priority point system. Similar to the basketball ticket allocation, priority points are assigned based on Cougar Club membership and previous ticket purchasing history.

Cougar Club members, followed by existing season ticket holders, will have priority to determine ticket packages and locations from March 27 until May 10. After the Cougar Club and season ticket renewal period is completed, tickets will be available to the general public from May 20 until June 21 using the online ticketing system. To join the Cougar Club call 801-422-2583 or go online at byucougarclub.com before Feb. 27. Cougar Club members that did not have football season tickets in 2012 should email the BYU ticket office at byutickets@byu.edu to request a time slot.

Ticket Pricing
Season ticket prices start at $110 for end zone seats with prime end zone tickets at $180. Sideline bench locations are $300 with sideline Bleachair (permanent seatbacks) and Low Chair seats available for $450. Premium location West Chair seats are $700 and East Club Chair sections are $750 while the Legacy Chair seats are $1,350. BYU employees can purchase tickets at a discounted rate in any seating location except East Club, Legacy and Loges. Additional information, including facility donor pricing, is located at http://byutickets.com/content/football-ticket-information.

Student Section
Also new for the 2013 football season is a consolidated student section that includes general admission seating — allowing students to create an even better game-day environment. The new consolidated student section will continue to occupy the first five rows in sections 31-37 behind the BYU bench and will include additional seating in sections 36-37 and 136-137 in the east stands. It will also include sections 41-45 and 141-143 in the south end zone. The new student section will provide a similar number of seats as before but will feature general admission seating instead of reserved rotating seats.

Student season tickets are $125 and include an All-Sport Pass that provides access to all other BYU Athletics events. Student tickets are on sale July 10 through Aug 3. On Aug. 5 the student season ticket/All-Sport Pass will increase $10 to $135. A maximum of three guest football tickets may be purchased with the All-Sport Pass. Guest tickets are $150 each, with $10 being added to the price on Aug. 5.

New Seating Options
With the student section being consolidated in the east stands and south end zone, sections 25-29 in the north end zone and sections 31-32 and 131-132 in the east stands will now be available to the public through the new online ticketing system. Season ticket holders who have been sitting in sections 141-143 (now part of the student section) will have options to purchase available seats in the north end zone or consider other stadium locations, including sections now available in the east stands.
