Team Coin for 2011 Season

Co-captains Blake Torgerson and Andrew Law designed this year's BYU baseball team coin to be carried around by players throughout the season.

The front side of the coin reads, "character, effort, execution with exactness," with the words Cougar Baseball 2011 on the bottom.

On the flip-side it reads, "Preparation, pitching, defense, offensive execution, sacrifice, MWC Champs, Regionals, Omaha." The words follow the pattern of the zig-zag leading up "Y" Mountain to which the team annually runs as one of its goals.

"I commit to putting the team before myself and I will do whatever necessary to accomplish the goals of the team," is another phrase on the backside of the coin.

This is the first year players have designed the coin.
