Again Sleepy Ridge is the site of this year's Ninth Annual Golf Tournament hosted by the BYU baseball team on Friday, Sept. 24.

The shotgun start will be at 8:30 a.m. at The Links at Sleepy Ridge, a par 72, 7,017 yard golf course in Orem. There will be a luncheon, awards, live auction and an alumni game later in the day. Saturday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m., is the BYU-Nevada football game, preceded by a 9 a.m. BYU baseball team intrasquad game and a noon BYU baseball tailgate.

The winners from last season's tourney at Sleepy Ridge were Major Leaguer Mitch Jones, Cal Jones, Paul Jamison and Clint Barnes.

Those interested in playing can contact the BYU Baseball Office by phoning assistant coach Bobby Applegate at 422-5064. Costs for the tournament are $100 for a BYU Baseball Alumni Golfer, $100 for family of a BYU baseball alum, $150 for a non-alumni golfer and $200 for a hole sponsor.

Previous golf tournaments for BYU baseball have been held at TalonsCove, The Ranches and Eagle Mountain Country Club.
