Carson Leads Former Players in Pros
Outfielder Matt Carson tops the list of former BYU players currently playing pro baseball this summer.
Carson played 16 games this season on the Major League level with the Oakland A's in July and returned to play earlier this month for the AAA Sacramento Rivercats. Last year Carson played 10 games at the end of the Major League season with the A's.
Pitcher Jeremy Toole (San Francisco Giants) is playing single A for the Augusta GreenJackets in Georgia. Outfielder Kent Walton (Oakland A's) is also playing single A, but the for Stockton Ports in California along with former teammate Steve Parker, a third baseman. Stetson Banks (Los Angeles Dodgers) is playing at the single A level for the Great Lakes Loons in Michigan.
