Oslund, Nyberg, Muir In The News
Pitchers Marc Oslund, Chunner Nyberg and Jordan Muir were in the news lately because of another honor and a draft, respectively.
Oslund, a BYU righthander from Torrance, Calif., was seleced Second Team Freshman All-American by Ping! on Wednesday, adding to the honor he received last week as Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, by Collegiate Baseball magazine.
November signee Nyberg, a pitcher from St. George was drafted in the 49th round by the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday.
Nyberg, a 5-11, 190, righthander from Dixie High was first team all-state.
Muir, who set the BYU season saves record at BYU with 11 this past season, has signed with the Tucson Toros of Western Baseball League.
