Oslund Named All-MWC Tourney
FT. WORTH -- Freshman pitcher Marc Oslund was the only BYU player named to the Conoco Mountain West Conference All-Tournament Team on Saturday.
Oslund, from Torrance, Calif., threw a complete-game, four-hitter in a 5-1 victory last Thursday over New Mexico, one of the top hitting teams in the nation. He improved his record to 7-1 with a team-best 2.49 earned run average.
Oslund joined Utah's Most Valuable Player: Tyler Yagi and C. J. Cron, Corey Shimada, Jordan Whatcott, Devin Walker and Greg Krause on the all-tourney team. Other all-tourney team selections were Matt Vern and Kyle Winkler of TCU and Erik Castro and Stephen Strasburg of San Diego State.
