TCU Saturday Game Cancelled
The final contest between BYU and TCU this weekend has been cancelled because of rain, so BYU's starting pitcher will ready for Monday's game at No. 10 Kansas State.
Freshman Adam Miller (3-2, 3.86) will be BYU's starting pitcher at KSU on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CDT, as the Cougars try to improve upon their 24-19 overall record.
"We would have loved to have played Saturday at TCU, but there was no opportunity," said BYU coach Vance Law. "It has been a long time since I have seen that much rain fall in that amount of time with all of the lightning strikes.
"Kansas State gives us another big series. It is imperative we play well there if we are to have a chance of getting at at-large berth if needed. This is is an opportunity to make a statement against a power conference."
Kansas State had a 34-11 record going into Sunday's series at Oklahoma State.
