Instate Play Begins
Jesse Craig gets the first of two starts this week on the mound Tuesday when BYU travels to play Southern Utah University.
The game has been moved from Cedar City to St. George's Snow Canyon High School where SUU defeated Utah Valley State last Saturday. The Cougars, 4-3, are scheduled to pitch Craig (0-1, 3.86) against the Thunderbirds, 2-8, and he will pitch again on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m., when BYU hosts Northern Colorado.
Jake Wortham (1-1, 2.70) is scheduled to start for the Cougars in their home opener on Thursday at 5 p.m., against Northern Colorado. Wortham was named Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week and to the all-tournament team in last week's Service Academy Classic.
Righthander Jordan Muir (2-0, 3.09) is scheduled on the mound for Friday's game against the UNC Bears at 5 p.m.
