PROVO, Utah — BYU baseball returns to action on Tuesday, March 28, against Utah Valley in a game scheduled for 6 p.m. MDT at UCCU Ballpark.

The game will air live on the BYU Radio App and 107.9 FM in the northern Utah market, with Greg Wrubell on the call. The contest will also be broadcast live by UVU on ESPN+.

Tuesday will be the 45th all-time meeting between the Cougars and the Wolverines, and the second of two games in 2023 between the neighboring universities. BYU won the first game 15-7 at Miller Park on March 21. A previous game was scheduled between the two teams for earlier in the 2023 season but was canceled to due inclement weather.

The Cougars are 35-9 all-time versus the Wolverines and have won 14-straight games dating back to May 10, 2016. The first game between the two schools was held on March 8, 2005, a BYU 15-8 win.

UVU enters the contest with a 13-10 record and is 2-2 in Western Athletic Conference play. The Wolverines went 1-1 last week, defeating Tarleton, 7-6, on Saturday after dropping the Tuesday game at BYU.

BYU played four games last week, going 2-2, and is now 8-14 on the year, 2-4 in West Coast Conference play. The Cougars lost the first two games of a three-game series with Saint Mary's on Thursday (11-8) and Saturday (6-4) but bounced back to win the second game of the double header (4-3) on Saturday afternoon.

Following the Tuesday evening game with UVU, BYU hits the road for a three-game conference series at Gonzaga, March 30-31 and April 1 at Patterson Complex in Spokane, Washington.
