Cluff Wins Two Player of the Week Awards

PROVO, Utah – BYU sophomore infielder Jackson Cluff was named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week and the Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week for his performances at Utah and San Diego.

Cluff's week was highlighted by a big game on Saturday at USD where the sophomore went 4-for-4 with nine RBIs, tied for the second-most RBIs by any NCAA Division I player this season. Cluff hit a grand slam, a double and two singles to go with three runs and two walks in the game, a 17-4 BYU victory.

For the week, the Meridian, Idaho, native went 7-for-13 with seven runs, 10 RBIs, two doubles, a grand slam, seven walks, and a sac fly with just one strikeout.

Cluff and the Cougars, now 22-8 and 8-4 in the WCC, are set to face Utah on Tuesday and Pepperdine in a three-game series later in the week in Provo.
