Hale Named National, Conference Player of the Week

PROVO, Utah – BYU senior right fielder Brock Hale was named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week and the Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week.

Hale led the Cougars to four wins in four games on the week, including victories over Oregon and three over Saint Mary’s. Hale batted .500 with a slugging percentage of 1.312, going 8-for-16 with a double and four home runs, adding nine RBIs, six runs and two walks.

Hale hit a home run in the first three games of the week, including two homers in the series-opening game against the Gaels – a three-run shot in the first inning and a solo home run in the fourth to finish with four RBIs. He had four RBIs the following day in game two, hitting a an RBI-double and another three-run homer.

The senior has helped BYU to a 21-5 overall record and No. 24 ranking this season, including a current eight-game winning streak.
