Schneemann Defensive player of Year; Larsen & Shaver 1st team All-WCC
SAN BRUNO, California--Shortstop Daniel Schneemann is the West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year and two of his BYU teammates were named to the First Team.
All-WCC First Team selections from BYU were senior catcher Bronson Larsen and junior designated hitter/first baseman Colton Shaver. Cougars Brennon Anderson, a junior second baseman, and Keaton Kringlen, a sophomore outfielder, were All-WCC Second Team selections.
Schneemann, a sophomore from Chula Vista, California, had a .957 fielding average with 166 assists and turned 29 of BYU’s 42 double plays. He was also an honorable mention All-WCC selection.
Freshman catcher David Clawson was the only Cougar named to the All-WCC Freshman team.
Other Cougars joining Schneemann as All-WCC Honorable Mention were Tanner Chauncey and Brock Hale.
