Three named to WCC All-Academic honors
STOCKTON, California—Infielder Dillon Robinson heads a list of three BYU baseball players named Wednesday to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team.
Robinson, from Pleasant Grove, was named to the 13-member WCC All-Academic team, while teammates Tanner Chauncey and Andy Isom were All-Academic honorable mention.
Robinson has a 3.59 cumulative grade point average in finance and along with Christian Cecilio (San Francisco), Mitchell Gunsolus (Gonzaga) and Anthony Villa (Saint Mary’s) are the only players named to both the All-WCC First Team and the WCC All-Academic Team. Robinson and Gunsolus were voted earlier this month to the Capital One Academic All-District 8 team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida).
Chauncey, a shortstop from Las Vegas, had a 3.30 GPA with an undeclared major. Isom has a 3.36 GPA in business.
