PROVO, Utah--Infielder Dillon Robinson of BYU baseball was named a repeat selection to the Capital One Academic All-District ® Eight Baseball Team earlier this week.

The 6-foot-3 senior from Pleasant Grove, Utah, is one of four players from the West Coast Conference voted to the team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, along with four other players from the Pac-12 Conference.

Robinson has a 3.58 cumulative grade point average in finance and graduated last month from BYU. Robinson leads the Cougars with a .366 batting average, 39 RBI and 16 doubles. The Cougar starting third/first baseman also has hit two triples and four home runs.

Players voted to the all-district team have been released to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
