Five recognized in WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll
PROVO, Utah - Five BYU baseball players were recognized by the West Coast Conference in its 13th annual Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Dillon Robinson, who had a 3.54 GPA in finance, was recognized with Silver Honors (3.74-3.50) by the WCC. Robinson was stellar in the classroom and on the diamond as he hit .369 to lead the team.
The four other baseball players receiving Bronze Honors (3.49-3.00) were Bret Lopez, Exercise Science 3.32; Dallen Reber, Exercise Science 3.20; Eric Urry, Psychology 3.15; Bronson Larsen, Exercise Science 3.15.
Robinson was also named to the WCC All-Academic team, with Lopez receiving WCC All-Academic honorable mention. Four of the five players honored return next season, with only Lopez departing due to graduation.
In order to be considered for this honor athletes must earn a varsity letter in a sport which the conference determined a champion in 2013-2014 and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 while completing an average of 12 credits per term.
Athletes can earn honors in three separate categories based on GPA: Gold (4.00-3.75), Silver (3.74-3.50) and Bronze (3.49-3.00).
