Barker, Brugman named to West Coast Conference all-tourney team

STOCKTON, Calif.--Pitcher Jeff Barker and outfielder Jaycob Brugman of BYU were selected to the all-tournament team in the just completed West Coast Conference Tournament.

Barker, a sophomore from Moorpark, Calif., registered his fifth victory of the season with an 8-1 win against No. 1 seed Gonzaga. Barker pitched seven complete innings with four strikeouts for a 1.29 earned run average against the Bulldogs.

Brugman, a junior from Phoenix, had a .417 batting average in 12 at bats in the tourney with a .917 slugging percentage from 11 total bases. Brugman hit a solo homer in a 7-4 loss to eventual tournament champion San Diego. He also hit three doubles among his five hits in the tourney.
