PROVO, Utah — No. 11 BYU women’s track and field drew its annual Robison Invitational to a close with nine event wins on Saturday at the Clarence Robison Track and Field Complex.

Cierra Tidwell Allphin won the high jump with a clearance of 1.80-meters/5-10.75. Tidwell Allphin has now won in two of her last four meets and holds the nation’s No. 3 women’s high jump spot with a season-best 1.88m/6-2.

Women’s distance started the day strong with Destiny Everett coasting to 3,000-meter steeplechase victory with a personal-best time of 10:33.81. Everett broke away from the pack early-on and crossed the finish with a comfortable 34-second lead over runner-up Karli Branch of No. 25 Utah.

Jacey Farmer, Natalie Hlusi and Aubrey Frentheway dominated the mile podium with Farmer taking the top spot at 4:50.43, followed by Hlusi at 4:51.69 and Frentheway at 4:53.63.

The Cougars also held the top-6 spots in the 800-meters with Riley Chamberlain winning at 2:05.27. Chamberlain, Alissa Fielding (third) and Krystie Solomon (fifth) each recorded personal bests in the 800 as well.

Jaslyn Gardner led women’s sprints with three wins on Saturday. Gardner took the 100-meters at 11.26, the 200 at 23.44 and anchored the 4x100-meter relay to a win at 44.88.

The 4x400-meter squad of Marianne Barber, Annalise Hart, Sami Oblad and Brilee Pontius also won with a time of 3:39.03.

The Cougars return to the road as they compete at the Desert Heat Classic in Tucson, Arizona on April 29.
