USAFA -- A two-run triple by Nathan Carter tied the game Saturday in the ninth as Air Force Academy came from behind to beat BYU, 11-10.

Amidst middle-inning snow snow storm and chilling winds, the Falcons, now 15-25 overall and 2-12 in the Mountain West Conference, never led in the game which they tied 1-1 in the fifth inning. Josh Meents hit a lead-off home run in the fifth to tie the score, 1-1, on only the second hit of the game by AFA to that point.

BYU, 16-26 and 6-9 in the MWC, had its biggest lead of 9-5 in the eighth inning before AFA scored two in the bottom of that frame. An RBI single by Kent Walton scored J.T. Musso from second preceded a two-run double by Brandon Relf as the Cougars increased their lead, 9-5 in the eighth.

K.J. Randhawa's walk-off single won the game with two outs remaining.

A lead-off double by Cluff set him up to score on J.C. Leach's single in the ninth to off-set a three-run rally by the Falcons in the eighth as BYU increased its margin, 10-8 margin.

BYU took an initial lead in the second inning when Kasey Ko drew a lead-off walk and advanced around the bases before Jonathan Cluff singled him in.

A two-run double by Cluff highlighted the four-run sixth as BYU went up 5-1.

The Cougars won on Friday, 22-0, but lost in the opener at AFA, 13-9. BYU next plays a pair of non-conference games on Monday and Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the University of Northern Colorado, 15-28, in Greeley.

With final exams over and no one graduating on the team this week, BYU's baseball team begins a three-game series at the Air Force Academy.

BYU, now 15-24 overall and 5-7 in the Mountain West Conference, looks to get back on track after a four-game losing streak at home. The Cougars begin play at Air Force on Thursday and Friday at 2 p.m., each day.

The Cougars, who have no seniors on this year's team, are ranked 164th in the just-released NCAA RPI, while AFA is 265 with a 13-24 overall record and 0-11 in MWC action. TCU is the league's highest ranked team with a 29 RPI, followed by New Mexico at 52. Previous BYU opponent Oral Roberts is ranked 22nd in the RPI ranking which includes 296 teams.

Jordan Muir (2-4, 5.43) is scheduled to pitch Thursday's game, followed by Jake Wortham (2-3, 7.81) on Friday and Blake Torgerson (4-3, 7.09) on Saturday. Thursday and Friday's games will also be carried live via audio stream on BYU radio which will air Brent Norton's play-by-play on KSRR (1400 AM). Saturday's game time is at noon.
