Freshman Year

Sophmore Year 1950-1951

  • Appeared in 15 games and averaged 0.8 points and 1.8 rebounds

Summary from the 1950-51 Media Guide

The lanky lad from Wyoming won all-state honors in high school competition. Last season he played regular center for the frosh. He is 6-5 and still growing. He has a gangling appearance but is fast for his size and possesses a great hook shot. He also knows his way around under the backboard.

Junior Year 1951-1952

  • Appeared in 24 games and averaged 8.1 points and 5.3 rebounds
Senior Year 1952-1953

Entering his third and final year on the Cougar varsity, Jarman took over the center post held formerly by Mel Hutchins, and he’s been doing a creditable job since then. A good-natured chap, Jarman shines with hook shot and ball hawking. Last year he averaged 8 points per game, in spite of knee injury. Is good rebounder. Boyd resembles another Wyoming native, Utah’s All-American Van Gardner. This should be his best season.
