“Spud” brings an enviable record to the Cougar courts. Besides being the leading scorer on frosh five last year, Stephens broke prep scoring mark in Idaho formerly held by BYU’s famous Roland Minson. A “natural” at the sport, Stephens moved into varsity play at tail-end of season. He has an unerring eye for the bucket, plus speed and great court sense. Should see plenty of action this year; definitely a boy to watch.
