All-State berth was awarded Benson when he played for Parowan High School. Last year he was the Y’s sophomore sensation. He was the Cougars’ No. 3 scorer with a total of 246 points (10.2 game average). He was No. 2 rebounder for the Cats with 231, and gathered in a total of 18 in one game against Manhattan last year. He can hook, drive, and hit the bucket with a variety of other shots. Sound defensive player, too. A P.E. major.
