Three years ago Russ was one of the better prospects on the Y freshman team, but a call to arms interrupted his plans for the varsity. Right now it appears Russ and his 6-5 1/2 height may be the answer to some Y problems at the forward position. Russ played ball at Provo High, continued his activity on courts while in the service.
Junior Year

Big Russ is one of returning lettermen shooting for regular berth at forward. Jones saw limited duty last year, looked good in reserve role. He played at Provo High, lettered as frosh and then spent two years in armed service. A marketing major.
