Prepped at Middletown High School his senior year in Rhode Island ... first team all-state Rhode Island and first team all-division ... pitched a no-hitter his senior year of high school ... other than his senior year, he played his high school ball at Ecole Secondaire Louis-Riel, a French public school in a suburb of Ottawa ... lettered in baseball and basketball ... played on Team Ontario in the summer of 1998 and Bases Capitals the summer of 1999 ... played for Newport Gulls 2001-2002 where he was All-league NECBL, NECBL most improved player (2002), NECBL all-star team (2002) and NECBL championship 2001 and 2002.
