Named MWC Player of the Week vs. Utah after leading the Cougars to their first six-game sweep of the Utes since 1986, batting .600 with two home runs and eight RBI ... he led the team with 10 home runs in conference play, ending the season tied for first with 11 ... a corner stone in right field, Chambers committed only four errors while gunning down three who tested his arm ... led the MWC in total bases for league games only and was second with a slugging percentage of .714 ... had an inside-the-park home run in a 6-5 victory over New Mexico in Provo ... had a 17-game hitting streak near the end of the season ... his production improved drastically when he was moved from seventh in the batting order to second for the bulk of the MWC season.
