SOPHOMORE: Voted All-Mountain West Conference, Second Team by the league's coaches ... selected as MWC Pitcher of the Week for his April performance against Utah ... in that game he struck out 10 and walked one through 8.1 innings ... he threw 112 pitches, lowered his ERA from 2.80 to 2.68, put the Utes down in order in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, sixth, and seventh innings, and got out of a bases loaded jam in the eighth with no runs on three hits ... "You have to hand it to (Mousser)," said Utah coach Tim Esmay. "He took a 5-0 shutout into the ninth. That doesn't happen often in college baseball. That tells you how well that kid pitched." ... threw only 74 pitches for seven innings to pick up a 4-2 victory at Air Force in a complete game ... registered six of his 10 strikeouts in the first three innings of his 3-2 victory over AFA ... USC Coach Mike Gillespie praised Mousser for "a great job of mixing pitches" in the Trojan's 12-inning victory at the NCAA Regionals. FRESHMAN: In 2001 he was selected as Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week for his upset at nationally-ranked Oral Roberts when he pitched his seven shutout innings as the starter in BYU's 5-3 victory ... had 12 appearances, four starts and a 3-0 record with a 6.38 ERA.

Prepped at Marcos de Niza High where he was coached by Tom Huber ... first-team all-state in 2000 ... team MVP for two seasons ... was region player of the year and Tempe's all-city Pitcher ... was USA Today Honorable Mention ... had a 10-3 record with with a 1.02 ERA, with 109 strikeouts, and 16 walks in 89 innings with five shutouts as a senior ... also batted .347 with nine homers, 13 doubles, and 41 RBI ... was a member of the German Club ... played for the Arizona Firebirds in the Connie Mack A League, where he had a 7-1 record with 95 strikeouts and eight walks in 72 innings with a 2.07 ERA ... also recruited by Arizona State.
