- Played in just 17 games for the Cougars in 2022 due an injury that sidelined him early in the year
- Selected in the fifth-round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks with the 138th overall pick
- First Cougar to be selected in the first five rounds of the MLB Draft since Jacob Hannemann went in round three to the Chicago Cubs in 2013
- Just the second BYU baseball player to be selected by the Diamondbacks, following Adam Miller (2013) and Chris Capper (2012)
