  • Thrust into the starting lineup for nine games after Dan Vargas went down with an injured knee at UNLV
  • That experience provided needed flexibility at the end of the season when he started at second base
  • Had game-winning RBI with a double vs. SUU, a single vs. UVSC in the opening game of the series and a double vs. UVSC in last game of the series
Sophmore Year 2010

  • Ended the season with a current 12-game hitting streak
  • Academic All-Mountain West Conference
  • Had four game-winning RBI, at Gonzaga, at San Jose State, at Air Force, and at San Diego St.
  • His grand slam vs. Utah in the MWC Tournament combined with Sean McNaughton's two slams tied an NCAA team record
Junior Year 2011

  • Played 46 games at first base, played in four at third base and three at shortstop
  • Considered one of the better defending first basemen in the league
  • In on five of the six double plays turned by BYU vs. UNM, one shy of NCAA record, a new MWC record
  • Had a pair of game-winning RBI: a sac-fly, vs. No. Illinois and a two-run triple vs. No. Illinois
