PROVO, Utah—Eight of the BYU women’s volleyball team’s 2012 matches will be broadcast nationally, with one match aired on ESPNU.

ESPNU will broadcast BYU’s home match against No. 19 San Diego Oct. 31. The Torreros were picked to tie for first place in the West Coast Conference in the Preseason WCC Coaches’ Poll.

The last time the team was featured on an ESPN network was in 2007, when the team played against then-No. 1 Penn State in the NCAA regional championship. The 3-0 BYU loss was aired on ESPNU.

Six of BYU’s eight conference matches will be aired on BYUtv, which reaches more than 60 million homes in North America. BYUtv will also broadcast the match against Utah Sept. 7 and the match against Utah Valley Nov. 20.

Two volleyball matches will be rebroadcast on BYUtv International—the match against Gonzaga Sept. 22 and the match against Saint Mary’s Oct. 18.
