Doerr Advances At ITA Regionals
LAS -- BYU’s Kristina Doerr won her singles match over Emma Verberne 7-6, 6-2 advancing to the next round at the ITA Mountain Region Championships, Friday.
The senior from Alpine, Utah will battle MWC foe Kristina Nedeltcheva from UNLV at 12 p.m., Saturday in the main draw of the singles competition.
In the singles consolation bracket, the Cougars McCall Jones will battle Lauren Begale of Boise State at 10 a.m.
McCall Jones and Megan Price advanced to the next round in the main doubles bracket with an 8-3 win over the Mizyuk – Verbeme duo. Their match is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
In the doubles consolation bracket BYU’s Kristina Doerr and Romina Nedakovic also advanced and they too will compete at 9 a.m.
