Seniors to be Honored Against Boise State

PROVO -- Wednesday will be Senior Day for the No. 35 BYU women's tennis team as they host No. 43 Boise State at 2 p.m. in Provo.

Lauren Jones and Sofia Holden have both been four-year starters on the perennial top-30 team. Jones is 18-11 on the season and 78-49 for her career. Jones' best statistical year was her freshman season where she went 22-11.

Holden is 13-12 on the year and 72-45 for her career. Holden's best year statistically was the 2004-05 season where she went 24-6. Together they have compiled a singles record of 150 and 94.

"These girls have been here since the program turned around and have both had a big influence in that process," BYU head coach Craig Manning said. "They really have been awesome and been big contributors."

Jones has not lost in seven matches and Holden has won six of her last seven as well. The team as a whole currently has a record of 14-5, 4-0 in conference, and is on a six-match winning streak. Boise State has a record of 12-2 on the season and jumped up five points in the rankings on Tuesday to No. 43.

The match will be played at the BYU outdoor tennis courts and moved to the adjacent indoor facility if there is inclement weather. Admission to all BYU tennis matches is free.
