Cougars To Host Wildcats
PROVO -- The No. 20 BYU women's tennis team (5-3) gets to stay in Provo this week, playing host to the No. 66 Kansas State Wildcats (1-1) Feb. 18 at the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts.
The Cougars go into Saturday's match with fresh legs, as they have not competed since the USTA-ITA National Team Indoor Championships on Feb. 4. BYU went 0-3 at the tournament, with those three losses coming against teams ranked in the top ten. The Cougars were a perfect 5-0 before the tournament, including wins against Colorado and Denver.
Kansas State comes to Utah with a split record of 1-1, having won their opening match handily against Drake, but losing a close one to Texas Tech a week later.
Saturday's match begins at 3 p.m. Admission to the event is free.
