First Day of MWC Championships - Cougars Down Utes
SAN -- The No. 22-ranked BYU women's tennis team swept the University of Utah women 4-0 this morning in the first round of the Mountain West Conference championships. The Cougars will face UNLV in the semifinal round tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.
"Everybody played really well today," BYU head coach Craig Manning said. "We played especially well in doubles. The girls executed their game plans very well. It was a great day, but we've got another tough match tomorrow."
