PROVO -- After posting two impressive wins in the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championship last week, the 20th-ranked BYU women's tennis team (5-2, 0-0) will host the No. 75 Kansas Jayhawks on Friday followed by No. 55 Denver on Saturday.

As the ITA college tennis rankings were released this week, the Cougars' big wins in the National Indoor last week bumped BYU from being the No. 45-ranked team in the nation to No. 20.

The University of Kansas comes to Provo 0-1 on the season, after losing its season opener to the Mississippi Rebels on February 1. The Jayhawks head coach Amy Hall has depth in her doubles teams. Emily Haylock and Ashley Filberth will face BYU's top-seeded doubles duo, Barbora Zahnova and Hadley Macfarlane.

Saturday's match-up against Denver features a 3-0 Pioneer team that blanked the University of Wyoming on Super Bowl Sunday.

Friday's match against Kansas will begin at 2:00 p.m. and Saturday's competition kicks off at Noon in the BYU Indoor Tennis Facility.
