Women's Tennis Advances To Finals In All Six Tournaments
On the second day of the BYU Invitational the BYU women's tennis team placed a doubles team in both doubles tournaments and four singles players in each of the four singles tournaments.
In the two doubles tournaments Jodi Richardson/Brooke Ferney defeated Brianna Beauchene/Lenka Zacharova of Weber State, 8-1, in pro set. Lindsay Ferrell/Lu Oswald defeated Monick Vandervan/Arias of Washington State, 8-4.
In addition to the success in doubles, four BYU players remain undefeated in singles. Jodi Richardson defeated Zacharova, 6-2, 6-4, Dominique Reynolds defeated Kim Sen of Weber State, 6-1, 6-0, Ferrell defeated Sofi Espinoza of Wyoming,6-2, 3-6, 6-1 and Elyse Jensen defeated Jennifer Hancock, also of Wyoming, 6-2, 6-1. All four advanced to the finals of their respective tournaments.
Saturday is the final day of the tournament and matches will begin at 10 a.m. Dopubles will begin at 12:30 p.m. All matches will be played at BYU tennis courts.
