Cougars Continue Road Swing

The BYU women's tennis team just returned from a three-game road trip to Kansas over the weekend, but they won't have much of a chance to rest.

The Cougars are headed to the state of Washington this weekend to take on the University of Washington and Washington State on March 2 and 3, in Seattle.

The Cougars, No. 44 in the nation, up from No. 46, are 6-4 after going 1-2 on the Kansas road trip. They lost to No. 6 Notre Dame, 7-0, and Kansas, 4-3, but beat No. 40 Kansas State, 4-3.

Once again, the Cougars will face strong competition, as Washington is ranked at No. 17 in the nation, and Washington State is No. 54.

Washington has three ranked singles players. Kristina Kraszewski is No. 10, Claire Carter is No. 21 and Darija Klaic is No. 51. Washington State's Erica Perkins is No. 41.

Washington's doubles team of Kraszewski and Klainc are No. 15 and Washington State's Stacy McKenna and Ana Moura are No. 47.

For the Cougars, Jodi Richardson is ranked at No. 42 in singles. Richardson and Brooke Ferney are at No. 22 nationally in doubles and Dominique Reynolds and Liza Khoudoiarova are No. 42 in doubles.

After this weekend, BYU will receive a break, not playing again until March 23 and 24 in New Mexico.
