Netters Fall To No. 17 Washington

PROVO -- The No. 47 ranked BYU women's tennis team lost to No. 17 ranked Washington on Monday, 5-2.

The Huskies took the doubles point by winning all three matches. Brooke Ferney and Jodi Richardson, ranked No. 22 in the nation, lost only their second doubles match of the season when they fell to No. 15 Kristina Kraszewski and Darija Klaic, 8-5.

The two victories came from Dominique Reynolds at the No. 3 spot and Liza Khoudoiarova at the No. 6 spot. Richardson took the No. 10 ranked player in the nation, Kraszewski, to three sets, losing 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-3. The loss dropped the Cougars to 6-6 on the season.

BYU will have some time to rest before they travel to New Mexico to take on New Mexico and Air Force on March 23 and 24.
