Cougars Rout Falcons In Road Sweep

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (Mar. 24, 2001) -- Completing a two-game road sweep in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the BYU women's tennis team defeated the Air Force Academy, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon.

In strong doubles play, the Cougars won at every spot by five points or more. Lu Oswald and Lindsay Ferrell defeated Heather Shelby and Ashlie Gee, 8-0. Jodi Richardson and Brooke Ferney won at the number one spot and Dominique Reynolds and Liza Khoudoiarova won at the number two spot, both by the score of 8-3.

"Everyone played well," said BYU coach Craig Manning. "We played really good in doubles today. It was good to have Lindsay Ferrell back and healthy."
