Cougars head to California for final WCC road trip

PROVO, Utah — BYU women's tennis will head to California for its final WCC road trip for matchups against Pacific on Friday, April. 21, and St. Mary's on Saturday, April 22.

BYU Notes

  • The Cougars are 10-8, with a loss against No. 5 Pepperdine (2-5) last week. 
  • Head coach Holly Hasler is 55-45 at BYU in her fifth season. She is assisted by Gabby Curtis, who is in her second season.
  • Sophomore Success: Jacque Dunyon is 11-3 and Bobo Huang is 12-4 in singles play.
  • Freshmen Sensations: Emmie Moore is 11-4 and Tina Li is 13-5 in singles play. 
  • The Cougars are in their final season in the WCC.

Pacific Notes

  • The Tigers are 7-10 with a loss against Gonzaga (0-7) and a win over Portland (4-3) last week.
  • Head coach Mike Erwin is in his fifth season leading the women's tennis team. 
  • Erwin is 29-49 all-time at Pacific. 

St. Mary's Notes

  • The Gaels are 7-10 with a win over Portland (4-2) and a loss against Gonzaga (2-4) last week. 
  • Head coach Katharina Winterhalter is in his first season leading the women's tennis team. 
  • Winterhalter is 7-10 all-time at St. Mary's.
