No. 66 Cougars fall to No. 29 Toreros in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif – No. 66 BYU women's tennis was defeated by No. 29 San Diego 7-0 on Friday afternoon. The Cougars fell to 10-6 on the season, 4-4 on the road, and 4-2 in conference play. 

Doubles

1. No. 12 Kailey Evans/Elizabeth Goldsmith (USD-W) def. Emilee Astle/Jacque Dunyon 6-1 2. Claudia De Las Heras/Jordyn McBride (USD-W) UF. Bobo Huang/Tina Li 5-5 3. Solymar Colling/Filippa BruuSyversen (USD-W) def. Kara Wheatley/Helen Jiao 6-4

      Order of finish: 1, 3

The Toreros were able to clinch the doubles point following a victory from Colling and BruuSyversen.

San Diego clinched the overall match following the victory from Colling. 

The Cougars return to action next week, Thursday, Apr. 6 against Washington. The home match will begin at 12:00 p.m. MDT.
