BYU to Play Dixie State in First Ever Meeting
PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s tennis (1-0) will welcome Dixie State (0-2) to Provo in a doubleheader on Saturday, Jan. 29. The first match will begin at 10 a.m. MST, and the second at 2 p.m. MST.
BYU opened the season with a dominant 6-1 win over Weber State. After losing the doubles matches 2-1, the Cougars swept the singles matches without dropping a single set.
Dixie State lost back-to-back matches at Northern Arizona, 0-7, 0-7. The Trailblazers will face Utah State on Friday before making the short drive to Provo for Saturday’s contest. Dixie State finished with a record of 6-3 last season.
This will be the first meeting between the two schools. The matches will be played at the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts and will be streamed online.
As a reminder, until further notice, only family members are allowed to attend home matches. Family members will need to be on a pre-existing list and provide photo ID in order to attend.
