Fall season begins with Cal Fall Invitational
PROVO, Utah – The fall 2019-20 season begins this weekend for the BYU women’s tennis team, as they compete in the Cal Fall Invitational in Berkeley, Calif., on Sept. 27-28.
All nine players on the current roster will be competing.
“The first tournament of the year is always exciting,” said BYU head coach Holly Parkinson Hasler. “The girls have been working extremely hard, and this is a great opportunity for them to see where they are as individuals physically, mentally and emotionally.”
BYU is one of 13 teams participating. The Cougars will join WCC programs Pacific, Saint Mary's, Santa Clara, San Diego and San Francisco.
Other teams that will be participating in the invitational include host Cal Berkeley, Cal Poly, UC Davis, Fresno State, Sacramento State, UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara.
Matches at the Cal Fall Invitational will take place at the Hellman Tennis Complex on Cal Berkeley’s campus, as well as the Channing Tennis Courts. The six courts at Hellman will have a live video stream.
This is the 11th year that the Cougars will participate in the Cal invitational.
