SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named BYU junior Polina Malykh and sophomore Madeline Almeida as the Women’s Doubles Team of the Week.
The WCC honor is Malykh and Almeida’s first as a doubles team. The duo has started the season strong with a 2-0 record, beating doubles teams from both Weber State and Denver. In their match against Denver last Saturday, Almeida and Malykh claimed a victory against Tatum Burge and Anna Riedmiller in a close 7-6 (7-5) match.
