The duo defeated West Coast Conference foes Laura Gulbe and Dizina Milovanovic of Pepperdine, 8-3. Cusick and Abramyan will compete in the Semifinals Saturday against UC Santa Barbara’s Amit Lev-Ari and Natalie Dasilveira.

In the Round of 32 of the main singles draw, junior Taylah Beckman competed against UCLA's Terri Fleming. Beckman lost the first set 6-2 and fought back in the second set but fell 6-4.

Five Cougars competed in the singles Consolation Round. Freshman Hermehr Kaur beat Anna Short of Georgetown and will play against UC Riverside's Lauren Wolfe Saturday in the Consolation Quarterfinals. Wolfe defeated BYU's Katie Fitt earlier today to advance to her match against Kaur.  Abramyan fell to Tia Elpusan of UC Riverside in her consolation match.
